I love dogs. Growing up I had a beagle. He was my confidant. He never told a soul all my secrets. Then my husband and I decided to start with furry children, 2 Queensland Healers. They helped me raise my non-furry kids. It took me 6+ years to be ready for another dog after the Queenslands passed. My kids wanted another dog and I found Shindig, a beagle. We adopted him, and his trauma, when he was 7/8 years old. We loved him and provided him with a routine. But with my husband and I working and the kids at school he needed a friend. I introduce you to Phoebe, a 6-month-old beagle. Shindig taught her bad habits and she provided him the love only a little sitter could. During the Covid lockdown the 2 dogs and I started walking regularly, first 1 mile which grew to 5 mile walks down to the river and through the village. They loved it. Shindig passed at 18 this past August. Phoebe missed him terribly so I started taking her to the dog park once a week. It's really helped.
