Over the past five years, I have gained paid, hands-on experience working with animals, building on the strong foundation I developed growing up on a farm. From a young age, I learned that animal care requires consistency, responsibility, and compassion. Daily chores like feeding, watering, cleaning pens, and monitoring health taught me discipline and attention to detail. In my professional roles, I took on greater accountability by managing feeding schedules, maintaining clean and safe environments, and recognizing early signs of illness or distress. I learned to stay calm under pressure and advocate for proper care. These experiences strengthened my work ethic, independence, and confidence. Growing up on a farm shaped my character, and my paid experience has refined my skills and deepened my commitment to responsible, humane animal care.
