About Lydia

I grew up on a farm in Kentucky where animals were part of daily life. My pets included a Bantam rooster, cats, dogs, and rabbits. My love of animals led to a major in Biological Sciences. Years later in New York, I rescued Zack and Zoe tabby siblings as kittens. They moved with me to San Francisco and lived long, very loved lives. I was an early cat sitter with Meowtel and, as a member of Trusted Housesitters, have cared for a variety of dogs, cats, and rabbits. Last winter I house- and pet-sat in Maine for Meep the cat and Blue and Hazel, two chickens. I don't currently have pets of my own, which gives me flexibility to care for yours. I'm responsible, attentive, comfortable following established routines and detailed instructions, and understand that every animal has its own personality and preferences. My goal is pretty simple: your pets should feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for - and you should feel confident that they are.
