About Lydia

Hi! I'm an experienced childcare worker, with 6 years freelance and 4 years professional. My passion is working with kids and babies and helping them grow and learn. I am currently in my second year of school to get a degree in early childhood education. I'm looking for a full time position (min. 30 hours/wk). I believe in gentle/authoritative parenting styles and play/nature based learning. I'm educated on Waldorf and Montessori but prefer Waldorf as that is how I grew up!

Lydia has been our Nanny for our two-year old for over a year on full-time basis. She started working for us when our daughter just turned one and we are incredibly grateful we found her! Lydia is kind and patient with a natural ability to connect with children. Our little one adores her and anxiously awaits her arrival each morning. Lydia always arrives energetic and prepared for toddler activities with indoor play, library visits, weekly ballet class and trips to the zoo. She is reliable and professional with excellent communication, she ends the day with a full recap and provides advance notice with rare schedule changes. We are transitioning our daughter into early pre-school and while we will miss Lydia on a weekly basis, we are grateful to retain her as part of our family for years to come. Anyone would be very lucky to have her, she is truly an amazing caregiver!
