About Lydia

As a recent recipient of a Master of Arts in Anthropology and a soon-to-be PhD student, I have spent years learning to be an excellent student. In doing so, I have also become passionate about mentoring others and helping them find meaning in their education. I spent one year during my M. A. program as a Teaching Assistant in Biological Sciences, as well as two years as a Research Assistant. With these experiences, I possess the skills to tutor students in writing, history, social studies, and biology. Additionally, after applying and having been accepted to nine graduate programs in the U. S. and Canada, I gained a high level of confidence in navigating the college application process. As such, I am passionate about guiding students through this process as well. I am patient, detail-oriented, and feel strongly that critical skills such as reading comprehension, organization, and problem solving are vital skills for a successful student at any education level.
