About Lydia

Hello! My name is Lydia. I've enjoyed working with kids ever since I started babysitting when I was in middle school. I have a degree in special education and taught for four years before deciding to pursue other career opportunities while still babysitting and providing respite care. In my free time I enjoy going for hikes, gardening, fishing, reading and taking care of my cats and chickens. I also enjoy doing projects and going on tree walks with my husband. We have lived in Stoughton for 6. 5 years and absolutely love it. Our dream is to one day buy a farm out in the country to raise our own pigs, cows and the chickens we currently have. I also dream of a larger garden. I am currently a certified arborist and like to volunteer my time teaching environmental education and serve as a volunteer fire fighter.
