About Lya

Currently I am a nursing student pursuing my BSN but my hours are very flexible. Growing up in a large family made being around children fun. I have no experience as a nanny or in child care. However I have volunteered at my church with the youth ministry group and have experience keeping children engaged and entertained. One thing you should know about me is having 4 younger siblings has made me a well rounded person. I often helped them with their homework, school projects and encourage them to stay active through sports. I have worked previously at a small pizza place as a shift lead where I have opened/closed the restaurant. I also have experience working for American Honda stocking and handling parts in a warehouse. I also had the opportunity to observe psychiatric mental health professionals take part in group therapy. In those sessions I observed them learn coping skills. From this experience I learned many different styles of communication and ways to comfort patients.
