About Luzmaria

Hi! My name is Luzmaria, and I recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a major in Architecture and a minor in Education. I have over four years of experience working with children in a variety of educational settings. I worked independently as a Spanish tutor for one year, supporting students with language development and homework help. I also volunteered with Wheels for two years, completed two years of field placement in elementary school classrooms, and currently work as an afterschool program instructor with 4th graders. I am a native Spanish speaker and love incorporating language learning naturally into everyday activities. I also enjoy math, art, and physics, and I like creating fun, hands-on ways for children to build confidence in these subjects. I am patient, responsible, and passionate about helping children feel supported, curious, and capable. I am CPR certified and prioritize safety at all times.
