About Luz

A Little About Beatriz Beatriz Herrera is an experienced educator with 32 years of teaching experience, including Developmental Kindergarten through third grade. She holds an Early Childhood Education Certificate from Pasadena City College, a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from the University of Phoenix, and a Certificate in Educational Therapy from UC Riverside. She is also trained in the Lindamood-Bell reading and comprehension program. Beatriz believes that children learn best when they feel encouraged, supported, and confident in their ability to learn. Her approach combines academic skill-building with patience, encouragement, and a growth mindset. She is fluent in Spanish and English and enjoys working collaboratively with families to support each child's educational journey.
