Luma has all the qualities of an excellent caregiver. He is intelligent, trustworthy, tuned in to the patient’s needs, strong physically, has patience and understanding, remembers and reminds patient when to take medicine and naps, prepares delicious breakfast and lunches. Luma has always treated my husband with kindness and respect. He anticipates when he needs assistance and guides him while allowing him some independence. He acts as a chauffeur and a friend when he drives him to PT, store errands, the library, a walk in the park, or even a haircut. My husband always viewed him as a friend while Luma kept his professional manner, spoke gently, but managed to receive the cooperation and respect he so rightly deserved. Luma was well respected and we felt very fortunate to have him as a caregiver.
