About Lucy

Hi! My name is Lucy , and I'm a junior at Montana State University studying English Writing. I have several years of hands-on experience with intensive elderly care. Before I was born, my grandfather suffered a severe stroke that left him fully paralyzed on his left side, partially paralyzed on his right, and with significantly impaired speech. I began helping care for him when I was 16. Because of his physical and communication limitations, his care required patience, attentiveness, hands-on assistance, and learning to recognize and anticipate needs that he could not always communicate. This experience gave me a strong understanding of the responsibility involved in caring for someone with significant physical limitations. Most importantly, it taught me to approach caregiving with patience, dignity, compassion, and respect. I truly value the companionship aspect of elderly care and would love to provide both dependable assistance and genuine connection.
