I have always loved working with children; I have babysat regularly since I was 12, worked two summers as a camp counselor, and I have just finished out a year as a pre-k/kindergarten teacher at a Hebrew school upstate. My priority is building a safe and routine focused environment for your child to grow into a bright young person. I love doing arts & crafts, baking, playing pretend, reading stories, and getting outside. I am firm but kind, and will work with you through any challenges your child may come to. Lucy is an extremely responsible caregiver with children of all ages. She is engaged and curious, qualities that the children reflect back to her. She perfectly balances the qualities you need in a sitter. Lucy takes charge and takes initiative but makes sure to check in and run everything past the parent. Kids respect her decisions and guidance, but they look forward to spending time and having fun with her. She is very smart and knowledgeable and can keep up with any kid’s special interests, learning goals, or hobbies. Highly recommend!
