I have experience taking care of children of all ages (including newborns). I love children! My experience also includes working in the dietary department in food service in a hospital. I have also worked as a personal chef in Italy. I speak fluently English, Spanish, and Italian. I have two years of education in French as well.

Lubia has a very rigorous screening process to select who she works with.  I often felt as if I was offending her by asking questions and, unfortunately, at the end we could not work together.   A word of advice: even though her profile mentions she can help with meal preparation, she has ample experience as a personal chef, working at the bistro and kids love her cooking, I would not recommend asking if she is willing to cook meals, that seems to be a touchy subject.

Lubia is an amazing care giver, she was not only my care giver but became part of our family. I hate that we had to move, but if anyone is reading this she is an amazing individual, who is warm, kind and is amazing with children of all ages. We love Lubia.  She takes care of my 9 year old on a regular basis.  I have a demanding job and she is very reliable.  She is wonderful and caring with our child.  She teaches her Spanish.  Lubia goes above and beyond in everything she does and I would definitely recommend her.

Lubia has formed a special bond with my daughter.  My daughter looks forward to playing the games that Lubia invents and the activities that she designs.  Lubia is teaching her Spanish. Lubia is professional and reliable.  She is great help around the house, including making healthy meals.  The best part about Lubia is that she has a huge heart that she so kindly shares with my family.

I interviewed Lubia over the phone, after playing phone tag with her for a couple days.  I started off the conversation with "Lubia, let me tell you the details of my live in nanny position, and then you can tell me if you are still interested." I started to explain the LIVE-IN nanny position (as clearly stated in my ad that she responded to), and before I could finish, Lubia became very upset on the phone stating she doesn't like live in positions and how dare I ask her to work so many hours in a day (which had she let me finish, was a 8am-6pm position daily, with two overnights). If she didn't like the hours she could have simply said she is not interested in the position. However, she was not only very rude but literally threw a temper tantrum on the phone with me.  If she had questions she should have been calm and professional about it.  Honestly, if she has such a temper when just describing the position to her, then I would be very afraid to leave her alone with my child. Even if I chalk it up to a language barrier, it still doesn't excuse her complete lack professionalism. -TC
