I have availability opening August 26th for mornings on M, T, F and for all day W, Th. I am excited to be able to provide quality care for your child while incorporating music, reading, play and fun:) I am a teacher at heart and love to help your child explore their own unique curiosities, talents and interests. I have experience as a babysitter, elementary school teacher, homeschool teacher, parent to 4 children, infant teacher at a childcare center, and nanny. I believe children thrive best when in the presence of a caring adult who respects their need for autonomy, and who helps them with emotional regulation, while keeping them safe. Every child is unique and requires care tailored to their particular needs and preferences. . You'll find that I'm very flexible, responsible and adaptable. I hope to do what I can to make your job as a parent a little easier.

Luana has been a wonderful blessing to our family! She has taken care of our little boy for over 2 years, and we are so thankful to have her. She does learning activities every day and provides care with kindness always. She makes things better in our household by helping with tasks each time she is here. 

Luana has been with us for over 2 years now, and we cannot express enough how much she cares about our child. She goes above and beyond with sharing fun toys, books, music, language and generally a calm and collected demeanor. Our son loves his days with Luana, and can’t wait to give her a big hug every time she comes.  
We hope to keep her in our lives for a long time! She is like family to us. 

Luana has been with our son since he was just a few months old (he’s nearly 3 yo now).  He is excited to spend time with her every time she arrives, even running to the door to meet her.  He’s starting preschool now; otherwise we would be giving her more hours ourselves.

When we started looking for people to watch my son I was super nervous. We found Luana and she has been amazing! She is constantly doing things with him, teaching him Spanish and he loves her and so do we! I don’t know what we would do without Luana, We never want to lose her!

Luana is great; we feel Lucky we found her. My 2 year old daughter, who is generally very reserved towards strangers, connected with Luana way faster than I expected. Luana would bring her play/learn materials, and would engage kids with different activities. Both kids loved playing and singing with Luana :-)

Luana was a godsend for my and another family when our daycare closed last minute due to family emergency. Luana was so great with our kids, who are a pretty tough crowd. She was flexible, punctual and very easy to interact with. We will definitely be reaching out to Luana in the future.

Luana watched my 5 and 2 year old. We absolutely loved her calming demeanor and her patience. She loved to be outdoors with the kids and brought new things for them to play with and explore. She is flexible, dependable, trustworthy and compassionate. We moved and wish she was closer so we could still have her nanny.

Luana is incredibly caring and doting. She was my son's daycare teacher and we really loved her and the care she provided. From conversations, I can tell she is a very involved and loving mother which certainly comes through as she cared for our son like he was her own. Because we were in a daycare setting I can't provide feedback on all aspects but I can say that Lauan truly loves children and has their best interest in mind.

Luana was my son's teacher at our daycare center from the time he was about 5 or 6 months old until he moved into the older classroom at around 18 months. She was wonderful with him, and he thrived in her class. It is clear that she enjoys her work and truly believes in children and what they are capable of. She was supportive and encouraging, and always engaging actively with the kids.

Because my office was nearby the center, I would drop in to nurse my son when he was young, so I had the opportunity to observe Luana in action on many days (i.e., not just seeing her at dropoff). In addition to being a natural with children, she is an overall compassionate, creative, and understanding person. Working in a large daycare center is surely be one of the most difficult jobs I can imagine, with near constant screaming and chaos-and yet Luana always seemed to be able to take it all in stride, calmly, seeing the beauty and the humor in it all. She is great!

Luana was my son's teacher at our daycare from when he was about 5 or 6 months to 18 months old, until he moved into the older classroom. She is wonderful-so understanding and encouraging of the kids she works with. When my son was young, I would stop by the center during my lunch break to nurse, so I had the opportunity to see Luana in action while she was working and interacting with the kids (i.e., not just seeing her at drop off/pickup). It is clear that she enjoys her work, and really believes in children and what they are capable of. My son adored her and truly thrived in her classroom. 

In addition to being a natural with kids, Luana is just a downright kind, thoughtful, respectful, creative, and compassionate human. She is calm and measured, and always able to see the beauty and humor in things.
