About Loyda

Loyda was our part-time nanny for about 5–6 months, and she is truly one of the most trustworthy, kind, and exceptional caregivers we’ve ever known. As an anxious first-time mom—and a healthcare provider—I’ll be honest: I am hard to please. Loyda exceeded every expectation. Our daughter was about 6 months old when Loyda began caring for her. We don’t have family nearby, but from the very beginning, Loyda made us feel as though she genuinely considered our daughter to be family. The only reason we are no longer working with her is because she needed full-time hours, while I work part-time. Even so, she has made it very clear that she would love to remain in our daughter’s life, which speaks volumes about her character. Loyda is incredibly sweet, attentive, and clearly passionate about caring for babies. When we temporarily had to use another nanny after Loyda took on an additional family, the difference was night and day—Loyda absolutely blew the other caregiver out of the water. She went above and beyond in every way. She prepared healthy homemade purees, helped us introduce solids, and cooked the most delicious and nutritious meals for our daughter. She helped with our daughter’s laundry (and even folded ours), kept the kitchen spotless, helped walk our dog, and consistently did far more than what was asked of her. All nannies are not created equal. If you have the opportunity to have Loyda care for your child, take it—you will be incredibly lucky to have her!
