About Lou

As the oldest of five children, I've been working with kids my whole life! I grew up babysitting my siblings and family friends. In high school, I worked in various summer camps and theater programs with ages 6-18. Now, having graduated from university with a Bachelor's of Visual Art, I'm working at the New Children's Museum in San Diego. Art is a really big part of my teaching and child care philosophy! In my free time, I love working with clay and fiber arts such as sewing and crochet. I always make sure to incorporate lots of crafts and hands-on projects with my kiddos to get their creative juices flowing. I would say my top 3 child care skills include adaptability, compassion, and patience.
