About Loruhamah

I am a nurturing, dependable nanny and reading tutor with experience supporting children from early childhood through high school. I previously worked as an NYPD School Safety Officer with the NYC Board of Education, where I built strong daily relationships with children and parents. I am also the founder of Young Ladies Connection (YLC), a volunteer mentoring program for girls ages 8-18 focused on education, enrichment, and homework support. I have 29 years of hands-on family caregiving experience, including caring for a nonverbal nephew with autism, which strengthened my patience, structure, and individualized approach to care. I specialize in helping children develop strong reading and writing skills using supportive, personalized methods that build confidence and comprehension. I am Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certified and genuinely enjoy supporting children's growth, learning, and well-being.
