About Lorraine

I'm a retired Neonatal Nurse Practitioner who loves caring for newborns and their parents. I have my own 4 grown children, so I have real life mothering experience. I breastfed my babies and was a La Leche League leader when my kids were little, so I have lots of experience helping new moms work through the challenges of breastfeeding, pumping and going back to work. I have experience working with multiples, premature infants and medically fragile infants. At this time I like working with 1 family at a time for the first few weeks to months after the baby is born. I can provide day or night care as well as help new moms and dads adjust to having a new little person requiring their love and care 24 hours a day. I don't work as a long term full time nanny. I've been called a "rent a grandma" by a few of the families I have worked for. Imagine having your mom available the first few months to help you learn to be a mom, but also be able to send me away when you want to.
