I hold a degree in Respiratory Care. The first six years of my career I worked in both adult and neonatal intensive care units. The last five years of my career I was a Respiratory Care Clinical Coordinator for an NICU in an Atlanta hospital. However, I did allow my license to lapse when I chose to stay home and homeschool my four children. My youngest is now 19. I have, and will offer care for infants and toddlers with or without special needs. My forté is newborns and toddlers, and it is very rewarding watching children achieve their fullest potential with their own unique abilities! I will let you know up front that my hourly rate begins at $23/hr and up. I will ask that I am paid through Care. com as an employee of your family. In that way we share in the tax burden. Also, you will be able to use my information as a childcare expense on your taxes.

Lori cared for my special needs daughter for almost a year. Her healthcare background brought a sense of reassurance & she was extremely loving and passionate about being a part of her development. She was involved in her therapy sessions, playing an active role and would work with her outside of the sessions to help her progress. She would bring new ideas and activities for her which were not only fun for my daughter, but also helped with her development. Lori left detailed notes about her day so I was always in the know and would always send videos and pictures. I could not have asked for a better caretaker for my child and I never had a doubt that my daughter was safe, loved and well taken care of. As our family has grown, we have had to shift our care plan due to financial reasons but Lori continues to be a part of caring for my children when we need her.
