About Lori

Hi! I am a passionate educator, who teaches elementary education on the daily! I am also a certified reading specialist in Connecticut. I have a lot of experience both tutoring and working to improve key foundational skills. I always make sure the parents are aware of what we are working on as well! I can't wait to meet your child! I'd describe my personality as empathetic, hard working, and silly. I like tutoring because I am able to get to the root of the issue when it comes academics! I have lots of assessments I use to figure out how to bridge that gap. In my spare time, I like to play tennis, go to the gym, watch my favorite shows, and relax. One thing you should know about me is I am very thorough in my tutoring. I do a lot of research prior to teaching concepts so I know the most informed way. I also use a lot of games and manipulatives and positive reinforcement to help students latch onto concepts.
