I live near the VA hospital in Asheville with my husband. I seek part-time employment as a child-care provider or babysitter. Please consider me for date night or regular shifts (up to 20 hours a week). I have my own insured transportation. I am most comfortable with ages 6 months to 6 years, but I am happy to work with all ages. My favorite kid activities include singing, reading, arts/crafts, and games. I was certified as a preschool teacher in Irvine, CA in 1988 and worked at Good Shepherd Preschool for two years. While at UC Santa Cruz (1989-1993), my work-study job was at Good Beginnings Infant/Toddler Center. When I moved to Chicago in 1993, I began a career as a neuroscience research technician for 20 years. I moved to Chapel Hill, NC in 2010, and to Asheville in 2016. I am eager to help parents and engage children part-time as I pursue my next path.
