It is my pleasure to highly recommend Lori as a caregiver. Lori cared for my 99-year-old parents for 7 months, immediately putting them at ease with her cheerful and professional demeanor. Lori possesses excellent communication skills. She kept me consistently updated, promptly texting me regarding any medical concerns, such as changes in symptoms or issues with equipment. Lori made pertinent entries into the caregiver journal. As my parents' dementia progressed, Lori excelled at keeping them engaged and happy. She used creative and joyful methods to support them, from singing songs, discussing "the old times", watching Disney shows, and playing their favorite card games. When my mom’s dementia regressed to child-like behavior, Lori bought my mom some comfort stuffies to make her happy and brighten her mood. Lori is highly experienced with medical and assistive equipment, including foley catheters, oxygen, nebulizers, hospital beds, and incontinence supplies. Lori also ensured their safety during transfers and assisted them as they transitioned to using walkers and rollators. As their needs changed, she managed their nutrition by preparing soft or puréed foods and found creative, effective ways to administer medication. Lori also demonstrated exceptional skill in supporting my parents while they were under hospice care. She was a caregiver when both my father and then my mother passed, providing both expert care and significant emotional comfort to our family. Lori would be a blessing to any family, and I recommend her without reservation.
