I have a huge heart and I do yes I get attached rather easy , its due to the fact I really care ! im 55 a Nana of 3 , mom of 1. I live to be of service , it brings me the most fulfilling feeling inside , I enjoy the company and or companionship of our elders, im patient, compassionate and I've got exp with both loss, due to Dementia and I've I've been a care partner both in facility or home . I personally prefer home, 1 on 1 is best all your attn and eyes and ears are theirs for the time im w them. I listen wholeheartedly to those I care for if their capable to do so , or I write and we communicate that way if need be. I've dealt with emotional issues, dementia, Parkinson, and just those who have no one who wants to help or has money or Insurance to do so. It can be a strain on family , hince the very person needing care now feels guilty or bad , just because. I do get attached to people quickly .
