I am a stay at home mom with two kids (a 6-year-old boy and 3 1/2-year-old girl). I am looking to care for a child in my home. I was a nanny for five years before becoming a teacher and a mom. I am a certified teacher and taught kindergarten for nine years before choosing to stay home with my kids while they are young. We have a big backyard ready for exploring, many fun toys and games, space for nap time, and a caring environment. I love planning hands on activities for my kids including sensory bins, building forts, baking together, imaginative games. We also have membership at Imagine Children's Museum. I have cared for other kids while having my kids at home as well and it has worked well! The setup provides playmates for all kids and a way to practice sharing, problem solving, and friendship building.

Lorien has been an incredible nanny for our five year old. There's no shortage of praise we could give her. Our son loves spending time with Lorien and regularly gushes about all the activities he does with her and her kids: from baking homemade pretzels (!) to doing scavenger hunts in the woods to visiting cool libraries, parks, and beaches all over the region. Lorien is flexible, creative, organized, and a proactive communicator. If our schedules aligned again, we'd work with Lorien in a heartbeat.
