About Lorien

I am a stay at home mom with two kids (a 5-year-old boy and 2/12-year-old girl). I am looking to care for a child in my home. I was a nanny for five years before becoming a teacher and a mom. I am a certified teacher and taught kindergarten for nine years before choosing to stay home with my kids while they are young. We have a big backyard ready for exploring, many fun toys and games, space for nap time, and a caring environment. I love planning hands on activies for my kids including sensory bins, building forts, baking together, imaginative games. We also have membership at the Woodland Park Zoo and the Pacific Science Center. I have cared for two other kids while having my kids at home as well and it has worked well! The setup provides playmates for all kids and a way to practice sharing, problem solving, and friendship building.
