About Lori

I'd describe my personality as friendly, patient, and supportive. I like tutoring because I love encouraging students to gain confidence in subjects that they find challenging. I'm looking for a job that helps young people achieve their potential. I helped my own children with their homework and began substitute teaching at all levels, K-12th grade, once my youngest began school. Seven years ago I began teaching adult GED classes, so I have extensive experience at teaching both reading and math. I have tutored students for our program, concentrating on their areas of weakness. In my spare time, I like to read, cook, paint, and play with my grandson. One thing you should know about me is I am trustworthy and willing to go the extra mile to help your child succeed. My skills include reading comprehension, fractions, and algebra.
