About Lori Ann

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Lori Ann C. I met Lori who was a nursing assistant (with CNA experience) when she started to work for my sister in law Kimberly B. in early 2020 in Port Orange. Over 4 years, it was a blessing to have her take care of our family member! Kimberly was originally diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Lori learned to care to the best of her needs, taking care of medications, food prep, daily routine, all while maintaining the house and helping Kimberly’s late husband. When he passed, she was by Kimberly’s side for physical and moral support. By then they had long grown into great companions, and had started building their own fun stories. We are unfortunately 3.5h hours away from Port Orange and Lori was our direct contact with Kim especially as her disease progressed. Kim was than diagnosed with MSA, a rare degenerative neurological disorder. Besides her increase care (changing catheter line…), Lori dealt with doctor’s appointments, prescriptions, insurance coverage… She was Kim’s life line. As MSA progressed fast, Lori’s tasks got harder. Kimberly became non verbal and totally dependent. The daily routine of care was highly time consuming and even though physically and mentally challenging, Lori always gave her best! When your love one is sick and in constant pain but you know that you can truly trust the person caring for her, it is something special and beyond words. In short, I highly recommend Lori as a trustworthy person who can be relied upon when life gets beyond difficult. Over the years, I believe Lori has also become a friend and not just an employee.
