Lorie began caring for both of my parents three and a half years ago, when they were elderly yet still living independently. My father was living with dementia, and my mother also benefited from steady support. Lorie handled every aspect of their day-to-day needs with kindness, patience, and unwavering reliability. She worked from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., five mornings a week, and she was always flexible whenever additional hours or help were needed. She drove them to appointments, helped with light housekeeping, and managed all errands — grocery shopping, pharmacy and dry-cleaning pick-ups, and anything else that came up. She spent real, meaningful time with them, offering companionship that truly improved their quality of life. She also kept detailed daily records of her tasks and communicated clearly with our family. Because I lived in a different city than my parents, having someone I could trust to lay eyes on both of them each day was absolutely vital. Lorie handled time-sensitive issues as they arose, kept me informed, and gave me tremendous peace of mind. She is extremely trustworthy, and not once was she ever late or did she ever give me a reason to worry about my parents’ safety or well-being. Lorie’s consistency, integrity, and genuine care made her an extraordinary support for our family. Lorie became part of our family, and we a part of hers. Her presence brought comfort, stability, and true companionship into my parents’ lives. We were deeply grateful to have her, and anyone would be fortunate to have Lorie’s help.
