While I don't have formal professional experience in companion care, I have meaningful personal experience caring for and spending time with my 92-year-old grandmother, who lives nearby. I regularly help her with medication management, technology, and laundry, and we enjoy watching shows, playing board and card games, and talking about our days. My grandmother has early-stage dementia, which has taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and respect. I've also learned how important it is to support her independence by giving her the time and encouragement to learn, make mistakes, and try again rather than simply doing things for her (unless she needs me to). I'm compassionate, patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoy connecting with others. I'm looking for part-time companion care, not a live-in position, where I can provide companionship, assistance, and support while helping someone remain comfortable and independent.
