About Lola

I started my career with the elderly late in life, when I realized I needed something more fulfilling, more real. I received my CNA certification from Wesley Nursing Home and remained there for only 1 year as I could not give the residents the attention they needed and deserved. I have worked for 3 individuals privately and each with their own personalities, needs and emotions. My last lady was the longest and hardest being I was with her for 8 hours 5 days a week with dementia. It is a terrible disease and you just go with the flow and redirect as you can. The care that was given was patience, love and kept her safe. I cleaned, did laundry, ran errands, took her to doctors appointments, made meals, and watched after her faithful canine companion, among other daily activities.
