About Mikaela

I'd describe my personality as calming, caring, and mindful. I enjoy working with children because they remind us to slow down in such a fast-paced world. While life with kids can certainly be busy, caring for them requires patience and presence -- which I deeply value. I also love supporting their growth and development, and making sure they always feel loved and supported while away from their parents is my top priority. I'm looking for a position that feels like a second home, where the family can feel confident that their child is safe and secure in my care. As a mother myself, I understand how difficult it can be to leave your child with someone else, and I strive to make that transition as smooth and comforting as possible. I began working with children at the age of 10 and have continued ever since, with some time in between spent working as a barista and a leasing manager. In my free time, I enjoy swimming and spending time with my family.
