I am currently majoring in Unified Early Childhood Education which is a major that trains teachers to teach both general education and special education for a mixed classroom. I have volunteered at an orphanage for children with physical and mental disabilities, cared for and paired with children with special needs, both physical and mental, in my church Sunday school and summer program. Other experience with children with special needs includes high school volunteering with special needs students, volunteering in Night to Shine (special needs prom), and other assisting in classroom settings.
