Hi! My name is Llubia, I am 25 years old. I am born and raised here in Denver. I am level 2 on Colorado Shines/PDIS, I have my Colorado Pyramid Model Training certification, along with other trainings. I have worked with kids for several years. I began babysitting in high school and then got a job as a teacher assistant at Primrose School of Lowry in 2020. I was a toddler teacher then a early preschool teacher for some time there. In 2022 I became a second grade teacher assistant at a K-8 charter school. I returned to primrose in 2024 and have really enjoyed the infant room! I have found my calling in working with kids. I love teaching kids new things and being able to see their faces light up when they see/learn something new! I have built so many great relationships with families throughout the years. I am hoping to find a new role as a nanny in a loving home! Feel free to reach out with any questions. :)
We hired Llubia through Care.com after a strong interview and two positive references. During her first week, she arrived 10 minutes late on her first two days. I addressed this politely and with understanding, asking her to at least text if she is running late so we can plan accordingly. On her third day, she did not arrive at all and provided no notice. Despite multiple calls and messages checking on her and asking for clarification, she did not respond. We received no explanation or formal resignation, leaving us without childcare and no opportunity to prepare alternative arrangements. After we were unable to reach her, we contacted the owner of the daycare where she had previously been employed, who had not initially responded to our reference request. The daycare owner informed us that chronic lateness and frequent absences had been ongoing concerns during Llubia’s employment there. We have employed nannies before and have consistently had positive, professional experiences. In this case, the repeated lateness followed by a complete no show and total lack of communication had serious consequences for our family. We both work full time and had to miss work immediately, putting our jobs at risk. We offered paid time off and sick days and would have been more than understanding if she needed time off for any reason. Instead, she stopped communicating entirely and left us in an extremely difficult position with no childcare for our infant. This was her first nanny position, and based on our experience, she is not prepared for the level of responsibility, reliability, and professionalism this role requires. Dependable childcare is a must for working parents and it requires someone that is responsible and accountable. Unfortunately, she posses neither of those. I absolutely would not hire her again and hope she reconsiders the field she has chosen as she is not cut out for a position where others are depending on you.
