About Lizzie

I am a licensed and certified elementary teacher (K-5) with a passion for helping children learn and grow. I earned my degree from the UNL and gained experience in 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade classrooms during my practicums, along with a six-month student teaching placement in 2nd grade. I am currently in my second year teaching kindergarten, where I focus on building strong foundations in reading, math, and social-emotional skills. I especially enjoy supporting early readers and am skilled in teaching phonological awareness and phonics. I am a great fit for students who need extra support in reading or want to continue building their skills over the summer. I strive to make tutoring engaging, positive, and tailored to each child's needs while helping them grow in confidence and develop a love for learning.
