About Liz

I'd describe my personality as patient, personable, and caring. I enjoy utilzing my vast expertise as a former tutor and as a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to better serve my community. I'm looking for a job that utilizes my strengths to support individuals' reading skills. I started tutoring over 15 years ago as a local AVID tutor for VBCPS and as a tutor for a local dyslexia tutoring center. Additionally, my knowledge as an SLP provides extra support in the area of reading since literacy falls within our scope of practice where we work on spelling, writing, reading comprehension, and phonics. In my spare time, I like to read, travel, and spend time with my family. One thing you should know about me is I have a family-centered approach. My skills include effective communication, involving parents in their child's care, being flexible, effective time management, organization, building confidence in my clients, fostering growth, adapting lesson plans, etc.
