About Lissa

I believe, firmly, children benefit from a multi-pronged approach of appropriate play and sleep schedules, balanced healthy meals and snacks, outdoor time daily, as well as opportunities for social and emotional growth. I am an avid reader, am fun, creative, and believe children need to engage in activities geared towards enhancing both gross and fine motor skills, emotional growth and regulation, as well as opportunities to explore their own interests. I support age appropriate discipline, manners, and above all, learning respect: for others, for their things and spaces, for themselves. I began as a night nanny to newborn triplets; and have worked for family with multiple children at varying ages: a newborn with a 2-year-old sister, for example. Babies and toddlers are my specialty! I have passed a SORI, a CORI (that is done yearly, as I volunteer at my daughter's private catholic school), and have been fingerprinted and background checked.
