About Lisbeth

Prior to tutoring, I was an elementary school teacher for grades 4-6 and a counselor from Pre-Kindergarten to 12 in public schools for over 20 years. Currently, I tutor 3 students (age 8, 9, and 11) in reading, English/writing (grammar, journals and bookmaking, poetry), math, study skills/organization, geography, public speaking and test preparation, cultural activities, social skills and self-confidence. With younger students especially, I use multiple sensory activities such as coloring, cutting, singing, clay, etc. I have a son who is a civil engineer and a daughter who just completed her second year of college. We have three cats and a Bichon Frise puppy. We are caring for 4 cats whose owners hired me from Care. com. My education includes: -B. S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in English. (Towson University) -Master's in Elementary Education (Towson University) -Master's in Counseling (Loyola University). *In the summer I will be available most afternoons and more weekday evenings as well as weekends.
