About Lisa

I'm a 56 yr old retired mother of 2 adult kids (31 & 28 yrs) looking for some extra cash & getting out. I started babysitting kids when I was 13 yrs. I've cared for friends & family members' kids my whole life. I love helping kids learn as they play. I'd describe my personality as caring, funny & conscientious. I provide a calm but encouraging emotional space when kids are upset or acting out, using humor to get their cooperation. In my spare time, I like to garden, read, travel & shop. I'm very experienced w/neurotypical kids and also autism/spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety & mental health challenges kids sometimes face. I have a college degree in psychology including child development classes and many years working with special needs and kids in general. My schedule is open/flexible so available for last minute jobs. I enjoy babysitting repeatedly as it allows me to get to know your family & kids. Note: I'm sensitive to excessive heat (so need AC) & *heavy* scents.
