I use to go to convalescent homes as a kid to "Adopt Grandparents". I guess growing up without them left a "whole". Then when I got older I got the privilege of assisting many struggling humans during my life through my career choices of CNA, EMT, and Firefighter. However, my favorite patient, sadly, was my sweet Daddy. I assisted in his daily care after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's and dementia., until he passed 17 years ago. Now, the same tragic diagnosis has befallen my eldest brother in California. Sadly, I can not be there for him, so maybe I can pay it forward and be there for someone else's loved one here.

She has worked with me when my husband had Parkinson’s, was with us until he passed away. And then later on what his son came down with Parkinson’s, she also was with us. She made them feel very special and gave them a lot of good attention. They enjoyed her and always look forward to seeing the smile on her face. She was not afraid to go the little extra mile to make them feel special. And also define ways to make their daily functions easier for them. I would highly recommend.
