I presently work for a woman who has Muscular Dystrophy - (which is actually very rare in females), who is wheelchair bound. I have experience with Hoyer lifts, transferring from bed to wheelchair, to toilet, dressing the patient, and bathing. Other specials needs I have worked with are several children that have dealt with depression, are bi-polar (or manic-depressive), and ADD. I have also taken care of children that were dealing with divorce, acting out, and having trouble in school. I am a very good listener who cares and can empathize, but also help the children see how they can reach their full potential.
