Professional Nanny for last 10 years. I have experience with newborns to teenagers. I love working with kids because I believe kids are the best way to learn, grow and enjoy life. Kids make everyday feel special and exciting. I love building a safe, confident, loving environment for kids. I can't say enough good things about Lisa. She was the most wonderful kind of blessing for our family and we miss her so much everyday. Lisa worked with our kids, everyday, for 3 years before we decided to leave Truckee and move to Texas. I have tried, and failed, to convince her to move to Texas with us...but she doesn't seem to want to leave her family behind. I guess I can't blame her :) She is such a nurturing and kind person who creates a loving environment for all the children she cares for. She is so good at fostering their imagination and love of nature. Everyday I was fascinated by her ability to go all day long and never stop. Our kids went on so many amazing adventures with her and she is the reason my oldest daughter loves being outside all day. While on these adventures, safety was always her number one concern and I never had a single worry about the safety of my kids while with her. On an education front, you will not find a better person than Lisa. When our 6 year old entered kindergarten, we were told how impressed the school was with her and my husband and I had no one else to blame but Lisa. She made education fun for the kids and engaged them in such a wonderful way. She would take the most mundane activities and turn them into a teaching moment. Lisa is 100% the reason why our 6 year old is rarely seen without a book. She also worked so hard with our strong willed, independent 2 year old and was able to accomplish so much more than we, as parents, could do. She is quite a handful but the bond that she and Lisa have will never be broken. All those moments that I wanted to pull my hair out, Lisa would swoop in and save the day :) The best decision you can make is choosing Lisa to as a babysitter or nanny. She's the absolute mess and, honestly, I'm losing it a little bit without her :) Even though we don't get to see her everyday, I feel so lucky to know that she has become an unofficial part of our family and will remain so forever.
