About Lisa

One of my greatest joys is to pass on my love of learning to students. When learning doesn't come easily, it can be discouraging. As someone who home educated her children through high school and has taught in a private preschool and homeschool co-ops, I enjoy the challenge of working with different learning styles. With over 30 years of experience teaching students in elementary, middle, and high school, I tailor my approach to each student's learning style by varying my teaching strategies. I keep students motivated by celebrating successes and encouraging perseverance. I'm committed to open communication with students and parents so that appropriate goals can be set and maintained. I have taught classes in English, science, history, ESL, etc. I am excited to partner with you to create a rewarding learning experience for your student!
