I can describe my personality as amicable, patient, and attentive. I like caring for seniors because they all have a story to tell and I enjoy learning about them. I'm looking for a job that can allow me to be an advocate in healthcare. I want to keep a senior citizen in their home. I want to assist with their day to day activities and ensure they remain healthy. I am a registered nurse for 30+ years. I have worked in ICU/CCU/ER/HomeHealth. I am proficient with home IV Antibiotic admin. Foley and Supra P tubes and ostomy care and PEG tube nutrition. In my spare time, I like to garden, watch and feed the squirrels and various birds that visit my back yard. I am astute at the nuances of changes in behavior that may indicate illness. Can monitor for infections etc. Some skills I practice include keeping seniors safe, mentally and physically stimulated. I like to develop routines to trigger memory so all care becomes routine. Hours negotiable based on need.
