About Lisa

Certified Elementary Music Teacher, Suzuki Flute Teacher and Grandmother, I have been a nanny since January 2025. I find babies, toddlers and children a constant inspiration, particularly 1 or 2 at a time. After 40 years teaching, I deeply enjoy fresh exploration through the unique new eyes and experiences of little people. I include songs, poetry, rhythm, story telling, reading, free play, and plenty of outside time observing and participating in the magic of the world together. With babies and toddlers I emphasize lots of clear communication about what is happening or what we're doing, seeing or hearing; music and stories; limited but positive choices that provide a sense of agency with safe and clear boundaries; and quiet time, giving space for a child's inner world to flower. I have a strong sense of intuition to find the right balance for each child. Also experienced with special needs. An avid gardener, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and can chase and carry 2 toddlers at a time!
