About Lisa

Hello! I'm a compassionate, nurturing, and gentle elementary school teacher of 13 years transitioning into elementary school counseling. I am looking for a childcare or nanny position while I am in graduate school again for the next year. I am highly trained in math and literacy instruction and intervention and I'm happy to help with any schoolwork or tutoring as part of any childcare assignment! I have worked in various capacities with children over the past 20 years. I have worked with children in refugee camps, orphanages, residential treatment centers, as a community-based social worker, as a child welfare caseworker, and more recently as an elementary school teacher and a tutor. I believe that positive connections with children are the best approach to behavior management. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my daughter and do yoga, trail run, garden, read, and spend time with our rescue animals!
