Summer Break is a great opportunity for children to research, revisit, review, and retain previously learned knowledge. Without reinforcement, students may slide back into prior learning stages. To help students maintain and advance, I utilize the Four Quadrant Model of Facilitated Learning, and select effective learning strategies to accommodate your child's needs. I have a Masters in International Business Administration. a B. A. in Chinese Humanities & Linguistics, and I am a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) in English Language Learners (formerly ESOL). I was Chair of the Reading Department and Teacher of the Year at my middle school, as well as my school's Coordinator for the Broward County ESOL Competition. I focus on instruction in reading comprehension, (language arts, history, social studies, etc.) improving vocabulary, and test taking strategies.
