In the past we’ve had good experiences finding nannies on care.com. Unfortunately our experience with Lindsay was disappointing and ended abruptly. After a single day of shadowing my husband and I, Lindsay accepted the role to care for our child. She confirmed starting mid August and dates up to September. The night before her first scheduled care visit, I texted her to confirm availability and Lindsay responded in the affirmative. The next day, only 45-50mins before her confirmed arrival, she cancelled and said “sorry but it’s not going to work out”. We can’t really comment on her nannying abilities, but she was unreliable to say the least.
