With 15+ years of experience working with children and their families, I have cared for children with one or more of the following diagnoses: - Autism - ADHD - Cerebral Palsy - Down Syndrome - Sensory Processing Disorder - Speech & Motor Delays - Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing I have experience facilitating the use of alternative communication methods for children who are non-speaking, such as using ipads with "Proloquo2Go" & "LAMP Words for Life", and I have moderate knowledge/use of American Sign Language. I am also familiar with sensory integration practices, and teaching self-regulation strategies. I am comfortable and have experience providing care for children who have a feeding tube, tracheostomy, or use a walker or wheelchair. My favorite thing is getting to see a child's personality shine, and helping them learn and grow at their own pace!
