About Linda

I'd describe my personality as calm, reserved and caring. I recently retired as a special education teacher, after 28 years in education. I hold certifications in the areas of: Deaf/HH, elementary, intellectual disabilities and teaching English as an additional language. As an educator, I had many responsibilities which included teaching new material, and essentially tutoring to address areas of weakness. I also spent a year, outside of work, tutoring an adult learning English as another language. I loved being a teacher because it gave me the opportunity to watch my students grow as learners. One of my goals was to not only teach the curriculum, but to also engage and inspire my students so that they would become life-long learners. I'm looking for a job that will allow me to use my education, training and experience in order to improve educational outcomes for others. One thing you should know about me is that I believe in putting forth 100% effort in whatever I do.
