Hi, thank you for visiting my profile. I'm 65, grew up on a farm where my mom was a foster parent and cared for teenage girls, being they were the hardest to place. So dealing with 16 different personalities at a time became second nature. There I started learning emotional care at the age of 14. As years passed I had the privilege of caring for both grandmothers, 94 & 96, and my mother in law and towards the end with at home hospice care. I learned so much through hospice care I. e., changing sheets with patient in bed, bathing, keeping skin moisturized and usually with non scented lotions as not to nauseate patient, changing clothes, adjusting patient from side to side to keep pressure off and to help to not get bedsores. It was all little things that truly help my mother in law and grands live more comfortably and with dignity during their last years. I do like to cook, mainly I do country cooking but can adapt to what is needed.
