About Lily

Hello! I'm Lily! I like working with kids because I love to see the world through their eyes and watch them experience things for the first time. Kids offer a unique perspective that we as adults have mostly lost! Having someone to get on their level with them is so beneficial. I'm looking for a job that will be flexible enough for a college student. I can do pick ups from school/daycare and evenings, but I am a second-year biology major and have a busy workload. I started working with kids when I was about 11 years old. My neighbors and family friends always asked me to help out with their kids. I started solo-babysitting when I was 13, and began doing more full-time nannying when I was 16-17. I have taught 4th and 6th graders science through Portland's MESD Outdoor School. My skills include basic first aid, basic Montessori knowledge, and patience! I also know basic ASL/baby sign.
